City Arts Nashua is pleased to present a new series of business education workshop called “Business Series for the Arts”. The workshops, aimed at visual and theater artists, musicians, poets, and writers, are designed to make success tools available for artists who are in business for themselves and either have limited access to financial and marketing resources, or are looking for a refresher in business practices. The 2007 series topics range from publicity, to Internet marketing, to grant writing basics. All sessions are free and open to artists and arts related businesses.
The second session, Leveraging Visibility through the Internet, will take place on Thursday August 30th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This session introduces simple ways to use the Internet for exposure and information sharing. The City Arts Nashua website will be used for easy demonstrations on how to put up shows, events or class listings, how to ticket events, and how to establish links to other websites.
The third and final session for the 2007 season, will cover Grant Writing Tips, and will be held on Thursday, October 4th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Artists will learn about how to structure a proposal, how to form a strong objective, and how to describe fiscal sustainability, as well as finding out the various sources for arts and culture related grants.
All workshops can benefit any artist and is open to visual artists, musicians, theater arts, writers, as well as all related arts business within the greater Nashua area. The sessions will be held at the City Arts Nashua offices at 92 Main Street in downtown Nashua, unless otherwise noted.
